Desiree Scales, CEO of Bella Web Design, has been chosen as TEDxBuckhead’s new Online Media Director. Desiree is responsible for creating the website, blog and updating the organization’s social media channels. She has experience with TEDx as the creator and editor of the TEDxPeachtree blog in 2011.
TEDxBuckhead is being organized by Chris G. Allen. Chris is a social entrepreneur based in Atlanta, GA. A passionate believer in the power of ideas and collaboration, Chris organized TEDxBuckhead to share opinions and thoughts from some of the best thinkers and doers in the Buckhead community.
The first event will focus on education with the theme of “Purpose, Learning & Power” and will be held at Bone’s Restaurant on January 25, 2013.
Among the speakers will be experts in brain science, instructional technology, purpose as a fundamental force, and how we speak our world into existence. TEDx Buckhead will be an entertaining afternoon of extraordinary and thoughtful education experts sharing ideas worth spreading.
When asked about her new role, Desiree stated, “I am honored to be part of this new venture with Chris. TED has always been one of my favorite learning channels. The talks really help you think about what is possible in our world. TEDxBuckhead will be an ongoing event held a few times a year with a different theme and a smaller audience than most TEDx events in the Atlanta area. I guarantee it will be one of the hottest tickets in town for those seeking higher learning and ideas from a respected group of speakers.”
