It all started with my decision to take Chris Brogan’s Blog Topics Master Class (affiliate link). I took the class last year to brush up on my blogging skills from one of the best and most consistent bloggers around. As I worked with Chris, I noticed he was using Infusionsoft to send out his class emails and his main newsletter each week. I was curious so I checked it out and became a customer on November 30, 2012.
I quickly saw Infusionsoft was much more than a simple email newsletter editor. It had powerful automation behind it as well as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and Ecommerce capability. Chris actually uses Infusionsoft to sell his online courses as well as send out his newsletter and track his customers and run his company just as we now do at Bella Web Design.

I got to meet the CEO, Clate Mask and founder Scott Martineau. They were both gracious enough to let me interview them and post the interviews on YouTube. I was able to go to their new offices in Gilbert, AZ and take a tour, quickly getting to know their employees and feel the special energy there. Everyone was friendly and completely excited about how they knew Infusionsoft was helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams worldwide.
I learned about the culture of Infusionsoft and how they truly cared and catered to small business owners like me. I was captivated. I heard about Lifecycle Marketing, seven strategies which small business owners can use to attract leads, maximize profits and grow.
I also learned why audience segmentation is so powerful–so you can create the right message for the right people and send it at exactly the right time–“automagically” as I like to say. I decided then and there at the conference to pursue becoming an ICC (Infusionsoft Certified Consultant) because I had to share this wonderful software with my current and potential clients. I understand how it can save them time and money and couldn’t wait to share my findings.
After 56 hours of watching training videos, 3 intensive 10 hour days of training at Infusionsoft’s offices and a 6 hour test, I am proud to say I passed with flying colors. It was totally worth it as I’m now one of only 200 Infusionsoft Certified Consultants in the world. I have a much deeper understanding about the software than most who are using it and can help my clients get more out of it very quickly compared to the standard learning curve of trying to learn it on their own.
