Desiree Scales Featured in USA Today

Last week, our CEO Desiree Scales was a featured expert in a widely run interview with media giant USA Today as well local channel 11Alive. Desiree is a well-known social media expert and attributes the popularity of the interview to the ongoing uptick in public interest about all things social media.

When approached by USA Today, she was intrigued, but not totally surprised by the story’s topic. The piece explored the purpose of Fakeinternetgirlfriend.com, a site which – for a price – provides people with imaginary Facebook girlfriends. “Fake girlfriends, or boyfriends for that matter, are nothing new,” explains Desiree. “People have been paying others to help them pretend to be who they’re not since the beginning of time. However, social media puts a new spin on the game.”

Of course, not all social media deals with such a trivial, yet entertaining topic as fake love interests. Despite the genre’s popularity, social media is routinely underestimated as a tool for encouraging business or audience growth. Most people understand casual use of blogs, Twitter and Facebook, but need guidance to see truly exponential growth in the business world….which is where Desiree often comes into the picture. Thanks to multiple interviews with national media outlets and her track record of successfully implemented social media campaigns for dozens of clients, she is the ideal subject for print or television interviews on these and other tech-related topics, including web design, social media, gadgets and hardware, online marketing, search engine optimization, ecommerce, blogging and digital media.
