Desiree Scales, Twitter MC for Social TV Event

On October 20, 2011, Atlanta will experience a new kind of event. The Social TV Event will be an online “conference” which will enable viewers to interact with each other on the topic of watching television and interacting with other people using social media at the same time. Our CEO, Desiree Scales, will be one of two Twitter MCs (emcees) hosting the event on Twitter. You can follow her tweets that day at #socialtvevent on her Twitter account www.twitter.com/desireescales.

The Social TV Event is a virtual conference taking place from 9:00am – 5:00pm EST engaging attendees from across the globe in live conversation surrounding:

  • How consumers are using social TV today and how they will use it in the future
  • Defining social TV strategies across products
  • Which products, technologies and advertising initiatives are leading the pack
  • Social TV content strategies and measurement
  • How the social TV revolution stands to change the future of television as we know it
All attendees will have access to the pioneers in this emerging space through posing questions and chatting with event moderators and Twitter MC’s live via the Watchitoo streaming platform. But, if you can’t engage online for the entire event on the 20th, no problem! Ticket holders will have access to all content for 90 days post event.

Also during the event, User Insight will reveal behavioral-based, social TV consumer insights, derived from the in-depth user research conducted over the course of the last 10 months. If you are interested in what consumers really want and how they interact with products in this emerging space, don’t miss this first-of-its-kind event.

The Social TV Event is open to anyone and everyone interested in Social TV, including technology, marketing, advertising and brand professionalsreporters and bloggersgeneral consumers; and technology enthusiasts.
